Back to School Guide

It’s already the last week of summer vacation, and very soon the schools in Kedgwick and Saint-Quentin will open their doors again. To make this back-to-school transition smooth and successful, here are some key points to keep in mind:

1. Preparing for school

Switching from summer holidays to school life can be a challenge. Now is the perfect time to re-establish a daily routine: earlier bedtimes, waking up on time, preparing backpacks and supplies. This helps children arrive at school rested and organized.

2. Healthy and balanced lunches

AMINA recently hosted two hands-on workshops on preparing children’s lunchboxes . At school, a simple, nutritious, and varied meal helps kids concentrate and stay energized throughout the day. Avoid too many sugary or processed foods - fruits, vegetables, proteins, and whole grains are best.

3. After-school activities

Sports and extracurricular programs are important for integration, health, and self-confidence. Here, children can take part in judo, hockey, dance, and other activities. It’s a wonderful way to make friends and stay active.

4. The importance of sleep

A tired child cannot learn well. Experts recommend a consistent sleep schedule according to age. 5. The role of parents

School success is not only about children. Parents are expected to be involved: volunteering, attending school events, and especially parent-teacher meetings, which are mandatory. These meetings are an important opportunity to talk with teachers and follow children’s progress.
