Blood Donation - A Gift of Life

On September 9th, AMINA proudly hosted a very special Conversation Circle on blood donation, with two inspiring guest speakers: Anne McLaughlin and Sylvie Bossé Moreau. We learned just how powerful this simple act can be.

In Canada, blood donation is always voluntary and free. It’s a form of volunteering that saves lives - hospital patients, accident victims, children with serious illnesses.

With the GiveBlood app, you can easily find a donation clinic near you, book an appointment, and get reminders.

Donating blood not only helps others - it also brings benefits for you:

  • A feeling of pride knowing that each donation can save up to 3 lives.

  • A chance to meet other donors and create a circle of connection and friendship.

  • A meaningful pause in your daily routine to do something that truly matters.

Blood donation is about sharing a little of yourself to give so much to others - making our community stronger and more united. Thank you to everyone who already donates, and welcome to those who are thinking about it!
